Barbara Ann Corcoran
Barbara Ann Corcoran is an American businesswoman from America. The Corcoran Group, an NYC-based real estate brokerage, was founded by Corcoran. NRT bought it in 2001 for $66 million. Corcoran later left the company. Corcoran is one of ABC’s original Shark Tank investors. As of now, she has been in each seasons of Shark Tank. By February 2020, she had completed 53 deals. The most significant of these was a purchase of $350,000 to Coverplay at 40%. Corcoran was the second in a family of 10 children, and was raised in Edgewater. Florence Corcoran was Florence's mom and also a housekeeper. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. became her father throughout Corcoran's childhood. Her family sometimes relied on free food delivery from a friendly local supermarket. Corcoran is still able to remember her father as someone who drank sometimes and was rude to her mother. Corcoran struggled at school and later learned that she was dyslexic. Corcoran attended an Catholic elementary school, and later began high school in Englewood at St. Cecilia High School. Corcoran graduated from Leonia High School with a degree in English after not completing several classes in her first year of high school.
